"OMG this looks amazing !!! I wish I could draw like that"
"You draw so awesome !! my drawings never look this good"
I read similar comments under my drawings
and I know the hidden pain behind it, I really do.
So, let's talk about how YOU can be good at drawing.
Keep in mind, This is not a "Tutorial" about drawing. This is how I got better at drawing. I noticed some things, that I want to share. This is NOT the "only" way, this is NOT the "right" way and I'm pretty sure that this is not gonna be the "easy" way either.
This is just some "Banana-thief, Bed-jumper, Diaper-monkey" way to get better at drawing.

WHAT DO YOU WANT TO DRAW?
Anime? Manga? Cartoons? Portraits? Landscapes? Digital drawings? Color Pencils drawings? Illusions? Hyper-realistic drawings? What?
Decide what you want to draw.
b-but ... I want to draw them all
So, let's draw them all.
GET THE BASIC TOOLS
I don't know how to explain it, but in my opinion, start with the basic tools.
You don't need a whole 6H to 6B pencils, just take a 2B and let's get ready.
You don't need a cintiq, just get a medium sized pen tablet and let's start.
Don't be cheap, Don't just buy "anything", Quality of your tools is essential.
Just get the basic and get drawing because ... IT'S ALL YOU.
Drawing tools are essential but they are not everything.
It's YOU who holds the skill.
OBSERVE
No one tops the exam without studying.
How are you suppose to be the master of drawing without looking and observing.
Notice, how that light is casting the shadow of the mug on your table ... can you draw that?
See that bird on your window .... can you draw that?
Draw from References, draw from life, draw anything and everything.
I'm not gonna tell you the same old "use basic shapes, draw a circle",
that helps but you can learn about that in almost every drawing tutorial on the internet or a class.
I'm here to tell you what I learned from my experience.
SO LOOK AROUND YOU AND DRAW !!!
FEEL IT IN YOU
How's your pencil on your paper? sliding? grinding? how rough or how smooth?
Draw a box and color it like you always do.
Now draw another box.
Tilt the pencil a little more and color it.
Apply some pressure.
Color slowly. Feel every stroke.
Roll your pencil after few strokes and continue coloring.
Don't rush, maintain the same pressure.
Make sure there are no white spaces in between your strokes.
Make sure all your stroke are in one direction. (unless you are cross-hatching)
Now, Which box looks better?
Understand it. Make it a part of you.
CHALLENGE YOURSELF
Make a challenge for yourself. Draw 20 objects daily. Seems less? okay, Make it 50.
Your day shall never end unless you draw 50 objects daily.
b-but ... what am I drawing?
You are going to draw everything.
The pen on your table, that lamp, there's the fan, oh you got a pet, how about this flower.
You draw EVERY SINGLE THINGS YOU SEE.
Do it with your friend who share the same interest.
Compete with each other. Who can draw that mobile phone?
it's not about who can draw it fastest.
it's about whose drawing looks better than everyone.
After you done, time to observe each other's drawing.
what makes a drawing look good?
Observe the lines, the shading.
That's how I "Practice".
Every artist says "practice is everything",
I just wanted to share my process of "practicing"
WARNING: Practice only with the people who care about you.
We don't want negative people pulling you down.
DO NOT SHOW YOUR DRAWING TO PEOPLE WHO DON'T APPRECIATE YOU.
We are not watching the movie "Whiplash".
the "Whiplash" part comes when you are able to draw a bit better.
PATIENCE
You'll be "ultra-amazing-awesome" artist, not immediately, but definitely.

Now listen to me,
Copy any drawing/photo you find on the internet. JUST FOR PRACTICE.
Don't claim it as your own.
Be ready to learn new things.
You like this style, let's learn it.
Drawing is not about being better than anyone. It's about expressing your feelings.
Be humble. Pay respect to your colleagues. Learn for other artists and stay motivated.
There will be people holding you down, dragging you, distracting you.
Do not give up. Do not stop. You have the power. You have the skill.
You can achieve that extraordinary level you always dream of.
There is no "trying" to be good. There is just being GOOD.
You hold the potential to set new boundaries in the world of Art,
and together, We can rise beyond our own expectations.
Just believe in you.
Pick up the pencil and draw.
You are Awesome.

As for me, my infection is healing, and I'm planning a big project. Stay tuned.

Challenge - Week Zero
Alright, Here the challenge.
Me and Musiriam (https://www.deviantart.com/musiriam) thought of this.
There is only 1 motive. Increase friendly competition so that we all can do better in art.
I give the topics. You have 1 week to draw it. Traditional, Digital, Original, Fanart, Animation .... Anything.
Anyone can join, Anyone can leave. No pressure. If you don't want to draw, no problem ... just observe others.
There is no prize. You do it to get better.
I have some future plans ... and let's just say I'm looking if someone can join. (Plans are long term so there is no hurry)
This first week is "Week Zero", the test phase, so we are only doodeling for now, you can go into
Future plans
More detailed traditional drawings ... at least 1 per week
Anyone still remember "TwT" ... yeah, I'm bringing it back
Small Animations ... yes .... will do that
Also, I'm planning to start a weekly challenge thing,
>> Every Sunday, we take an easy theme, (I'll select the new theme every week)
>> Do any art based on that (drawing, poetry, music, anything)
>> Upload it before Saturday
>> Have fun
Anyone can join ... Goal is to be regular in drawing and improve
if you want, I'll talk in details this Sunday
and relaunch Patreon, because seriously, there are so many things stuck because of financial barricades

Update
Yay !! I'm back !!
So, as you guys may know that I had a lot of problems .... so ... I fixed everything .... every single thing
It took me so long to fix them ... almost 3 years ...
Most of you guys may not even remember how detailed I used to draw ...
I've been away from drawing so long that .... honestly, it feels nostalgic to draw again
anyway, I'm back .... and ready to draw those insanely detailed drawings.
You guys, Stay Awesome
